NJ troopers join search for 14-year-old boy missing for 2 weeks

PATERSON — State Police joined the search for a 14-year-old Paterson boy who has been missing for two weeks.

Saad Ammal was last seen at his home on Thursday, Aug. 31, with a backpack headed toward Philadelphia or New York City, according to the State Police Missing Person Unit.

Police said Ammal stands 5 feet, 8 inches, weighs 115 pounds and has black hair, hazel eyes and a tan complexion.

He was last seen wearing black pants with green stripes and wearing navy blue Nike sneakers.

Police asked anyone with information about Ammal's whereabouts to call 609-882-2000 Ext. 2554.
