NEW JERSEY 101.5

The frequency of violent crime in 25 New Jersey towns has been sliced and diced in an interesting way by Patch.com and published in two separate lists.

The newest list, published Monday, ranks the "15 Safest Big Towns in New Jersey," with Bridgewater, Manchester and Marlboro finishing first, second and third, with incidents of violent crime ranging from .34 to .45 per 1,000 residents

An earlier list, published Oct. 24, awarded a less desirable distinction: "10 Most Dangerous Small Towns in New Jersey." The unfortunate top three on that list were Salem City, Lindenwold and Pemberton, with incidents of violent crime ranging from to 12.4 to 7.1 per 1,000 residents.

See if your town is on either list and let us know what you think about it.
