NJ Teen Inspires Grammy Win Group to Play Benefit [VIDEO]
An amateur video shot by a New Jersey teenager that chronicles the impact of Superstorm Sandy in a devastated Jersey Shore town has caught the eye of a Grammy-winning band that now plans to play a benefit concert.
Singer Pat Monahan of the band Train posted on his blog that a YouTube video by 15-year-old Charlotte Nagy of Rumson moved him.
A publicist for the band with hits like "Hey, Soul Sister," says Train plans to play a small private concert Dec. 5 at the Sea Bright fire department to raise funds for a charity Nagy started called Sea Bright Rising.
Nagy was not immediately available for comment.
Nagy's 30-minute video shows images of Sea Bright and the surrounding areas before, during and after the storm.
