This year I pledged to do something not only for the show but something that the audience can relate to and get behind. So every Friday will be known as #BlueFriday.

This week's honoree is NJ State Trooper Benjamin Hockin. Trooper Hockin was a rookie who saved an 8-month-old baby girl's life in Hunterdon County. Trooper Hockin used a defibrillator on Lila Wolfram, who was not breathing or responding to CPR.

At the time, Trooper Hockin had only been on the job as long as young Lila was alive - a total of 8 months. Hockin's quick actions saved a young life and that effort goes above and beyond any expectations and needs to be recognized. A very special thank you goes out to Trooper Benjamin Hockin and we are proud to make him this week's #BlueFriday honoree.

NJ State Trooper Benjamin Hockin even got a special message via Twitter from some young fans at the Shore Academy.

In case you missed it, below is the video of Lt. Gov Kin Guadagno and myself introducing the concept of #BlueFriday.

Do you know of an officer who is deserving of being highlighted for #BlueFriday? Fill out the quick form and let us hear about them!
