Court business has been too good since a New Jersey town installed a camera to catch motorists running a red light.

Lawrence Municipal Court Judge Kevin Nerwinski told the Lawrence Council it has put a strain on the court system in terms of phone calls and manpower.

The town has processed 932 tickets since the red-light camera was installed at the Route 1 and Bakers Basin-Franklin Corner intersection in October. Police Chief Daniel Posluszny tells The Times of Trenton three tickets were dismissed and 929 have been paid at $140 each.

The judge told the council the court needs two new computers to handle the business.
