Question for you:

Where do you find the longest red lights in New Jersey, and have you ever blown them out of frustration?

Here’s my deal:

Coming to work every night it’s the same story. The lights on Route 614 never seem to favor anyone on 614.
Always traffic going in the other direction.

Why is that?

Could it be that there isn’t enough traffic on 614 to warrant the green signal being long enough.

Can’t tell you how many times I’d be about to make a green light at any of the intersections along 614, only to see the light turn yellow, and eventually red.

And then you sit...and wait…and wait.

Until you see the light turn green, which by that time, I could have read “War and Peace” 3 times.

Imagine sitting at the light at 130 and 614 at 3 in the morning, waiting for a red light to change when you see nobody coming in the cross street.

And then you sit there like a jerk.

All the while knowing full well that if you blow that light, a cop will come out of nowhere and bang you out for a ticket.
And I’m sure I’m not the only one this has happened to.

You’d say to yourself, “…why can’t they just change the sequence of the light so that each direction gets to stop an equal amount of time.

In the meantime, bring a book with you if your fate dictates you come across any of those intersections.

In your travels, where do you find them?
