New Jersey law enforcement officials are calling on members of the public to help them crack down on drivers who use their smart phones to text and email while they’re behind the wheel.

New Jersey’s little brown bat population has been nearly wiped out by a problematic fungus. But there are signs their numbers may finally be starting to come back.

A fire in a mostly freshman dormitory at Rowan University in Glassboro damaged several rooms but didn't cause any injuries. School spokeswoman Patricia Quigley says the fire was reported in a first-floor room in Mimosa Hall on the Glassboro campus around 11:15 a.m. Friday. The residence hall was evacuated. — Associated Press
