The job fair, which is sponsored by the Middlesex County Office of Workforce Development (MCOWD), will feature dozens of employers with immediate full-time and part-time positions.

"We anticipate that there will be 50 employers there," said Kevin Kurdziel, director of the MCOWD. "We have carefully vetted all of the employers to make sure that they currently have jobs available and they have confirmed that with us."

Kurdziel said the employers scheduled to attend are from various fields and industries.

"They will be representing different employment sectors including sales, transportation logistics and distribution, finance, technology and hospitality - just to name a few." Kurdziel said.

The companies expected to be at the job fair include Allstate, Bob's Discount Furniture, Edgewood Properties, FedEx, New Jersey Transit, Raritan Bay Medical Center, ShopRite and Simon and Schuster.

Kurdziel says even though jobless rates have dropped substantially, there are still a lot of people unemployed.

Job seekers should bring multiple copies of their resumes and be prepared for interviews on the spot.

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South Brunswick Community Center in Monmouth Junction.
