Bergen County Prosecutor John Molinelli says 25-year-old Andre Jamal Thompson is charged with felony murder, robbery and burglary in the death of 24-year-old Jordan Johnson of Fort Lee. Thompson was arrested last week in a Maryland hotel room and is now awaiting extradition to New Jersey.

Bail was set at $2 million cash for Thompson, who lives in Fort Lee and Worcester, Massachusetts and is also known as "Boogie."

Molinelli says Thompson allegedly lured Johnson to an apartment he sometimes used in Fort Lee. Thompson was attacked there and eventually killed.

Johnson's cellphone was then used to send text messages to his girlfriend, luring her from their apartment, which was then burglarized while she was out. She discovered the burglary when she returned home, and she soon reported Johnson missing.

His body was found the next day.

Thompson was arrested Feb. 4 and initially was detained on an outstanding warrant from Worcester. A subsequent investigation led to him being charged in Johnson's slaying.

Molinelli says the investigation is ongoing and more arrests may occur.
