Essex County prosecutors tell NJ.com that firefighters found 19-year-old Abraham Ragin shortly after they responded to the East Orange home owned by his grandfather.

Five other people inside the three-story home were able to escape the flames after the fire broke out late Saturday night, although Ragin's father, Ronald, was treated at a hospital for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Prosecutors say the first floor of the home was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived shortly before midnight. Abraham Ragin was found on the second floor and was pronounced dead at the scene, but a cause of death has not yet been determined.
