Can you believe it’s been almost 32 years we lost John on that awful night. I often wonder what the world would be like if he had lived. Would we be any closer to the peace he spent his life and used his celebrity trying to attain? What would a John Lennon interview sound like? How would all those John Lennon albums that we’ll never get to hear have influenced music. John lived to see his “Double Fantasy” album go to number one and “Milk and Honey” released in 1984 peaked at number 11 but would have been much higher had he lived to drive it. One song that really hits home in the wake of reality is “Grow Old With Me”

Lennon was planning a tour when he died and if you want to get an idea of how happy Lennon was in the days leading up to his death, read “Starting Over, The Making of John Lennon and Yoko’s Double Fantasy.

My 5 year old son is named Lennon and as I write this he is jamming to Beatles on his toy guitar with ‘The Ed Sullivan DVD on the TV. For now, we’ll just talk about his birthday.  Happy Birthday John!
