With the holiday season once again upon us, charities and food banks around New Jersey are in need of cash and food donations for people and families who don't have the means to celebrate Thanksgiving for various reasons.

Below are five different organizations that are doing all they can to help our fellow New Jerseyans. If you have information about a foodbank or charity we may have missed, please let us know in the comment section below.

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey

With locations throughout the entire state, the Community FoodBank of New Jersey wants to make sure every single family around the Garden State has a Thanksgiving meal. Their 2016 Thanksgiving Food Drive is going on until Sunday, Nov. 20. They were able to give 35,000 pounds of food and more than 4,300 turkeys to families in need last year. Their goal now is to break that record from last year. If you can't make it this upcoming weekend, they are also doing a virtual turkey drive.
