It's a great tool in the war on crime in one of New Jersey's most dangerous cities.

However, as I mentioned on the Late Show a couple of times last week, and the barber in the video agrees with me, is some sort of relationship between the police and the community...sort of like bringing back the cop on the beat...or, at least, having the police become more involved in the communities they serve.

I know, it's a tall order.

But one can't help but feel that the "spotlight" program only seems to breed more distrust.

It's reminiscent of a good many movies you may have seen about prisoner of war or concentration camps.

BTW, doesn't Deborah Jacobs, the ACLU spokesperson, have an uncanny resemblance to Jamie Lee Curtis. I was expecting her to break out the Activia the first chance she had!
