Do you know how much your spouse makes?

I have no idea and I fond I’m not alone. According to a new survey from Fidelity investments 4 in 10 couples don’t know how much their partner earned.

Along with that, of the 1051 couples questioned 36% had different ideas about the amount in their family's savings accounts, 401(k)s, and other investable assets. Almost half of the couples had no clue how much they would need to put away to continue their current lifestyle once they retired, and 47% couldn't agree on how much savings they would need.

On the other hand, my wife knows exactly what I make because she does our taxes. By “doing the taxes, I mean getting the stuff ready for the guy who does our taxes;) I figure, as long as the bills are getting paid I’m not worried about it. I’m also sure that if she weren’t making enough money, I’d know about it.
