I wonder, once all the hoopla dies down over the plight of homeless man David Ivans dies down, if he’ll have the support he’ll need to do the challenging work of getting and staying on his feet.

And while I believe that most everyone who came to his rescue after being beaten by a couple of punks were well-intentioned, I still can’t help but think that some of that effort is to assuage us of our collective guilt over the growing problem of homelessness in American.
