State transportation officials say the northbound lanes of Route 42 near the Creek Road overpass in Bellmawr will close Monday and Tuesday nights. That will allow crews to put wood sheeting under recently placed bridge beams.

The closures start at 8 p.m. Monday, when one lane will be closed. A second lane will close by 10 p.m., and all lanes will be shuttered by 11 p.m. All lanes will then reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday.

The same closing process will occur Tuesday night.

Traffic will be diverted onto the Exit 1B ramp to I-295 north and then to Exit 27, a left exit that will put traffic back onto Route 42 northbound and westbound I-76.
