Christie was peppered with questions about the issue when he met with a group at the New York City home of David Koch.

The New York Times reports that Christie told them he has lost 85 pounds since his weight-loss surgery last year, and that he knew he had to lose weight before any national campaign.

The meeting could prove to be a big step for any designs Christie has on the White House.

Support and money from the Koch brothers is, basically, a must-have for any Republican seeking the presidency.
