Christie Administration Sticking with “Jersey Comeback” Slogan

Acting Gov. Kim Guadagno is sticking with the administration's "Jersey Comeback" message despite a survey showing the state slipping in business competitiveness.

Guadagno, who's filling in for the vacationing Gov. Chris Christie, says the business climate is much improved since she and Christie took office in 2010.

A CNBC survey this week showed New Jersey dropping in national business-friendliness. The state scored low marks in infrastructure/transportation and overall fell to 41st from 30th.

Guadagno dismissed the survey results because CNBC didn't explain how the ranking was compiled.

Sen. Paul Sarlo of Wood-Ridge, who chairs the Senate Budget Committee, says the survey is more evidence that Christie's economic agenda is failing.

The Democrat says unemployment remains higher than the national average and New Jersey ranks 47th in economic growth.
