NEW BRUNSWICK — Authorities believe a man who was found dead of an apparent suicide in a car outside a movie theater Sunday may be a suspect in his wife's murder.

The body was discovered at about 1 p.m. in a vehicle parked outside the AMC Lowes movie theater off Route 1 in New Brunswick, NJ.com reported. In a statement, New Brunswick Police said that while preliminary investigation suggests that the cause of death may have been suicide, an autopsy would be needed to confirm that information, the article states.

In a post on twitter, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office indicated that the man who was found in the vehicle is believed to be a Jersey City man wanted in the murder of his wife. Authorities in New Brunswick have not yet released the man's name.

Sineka Davis, 38, was found with a fatal gunshot wound to her chest inside her Manning Avenue home Thursday, according to a statement from Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene approximately 6:50 p.m., authorities said.

According to the prosecutor, police were originally called to the home just after 6 p.m. due to a domestic dispute. On Friday, an arrest warrant was issued for the victim's husband, Steve L. Franklin, 39, on first degree murder charges, police said, adding that Franklin was being considered "armed and dangerous."

Officials from the New Brunswick Police Department could not immediately be reached for comment Sunday.
