Authorities ordered the evacuation of Atlantic City International Airport Wednesday afternoon as a bomb squad investigates reports of an explosive device at the facility, NJ State Police said Wednesday.

Authorities confirmed that the facility was evacuated as a possible explosive device was investigated around 4 p.m. State Police Sgt. Gregory Williams said at 4:50 p.m. that the material was deemed "non-suspicious" and the terminal was re-opened.

People on social media stated that passengers and employees were being allowed back into the building just after 4:30 p.m.
