A name that you will not have heard.

That’s because he’s not from these parts, although he may as well be.

He’s actually a state senator from the good state of California..

Senator Ted Lieu.

He’s the state senator calling Lowe’s Home Improvement Centers “un-American” and “naked religious bigotry”, and would even consider legislative action against the store chain for pulling their ads from a TLC reality show highlighting the activities of 5 muslim families from Dearborn, Mich.

The store chain’s decision was made in response to criticism from a conservative group known as the Florida Family Association, saying the program was "propaganda that riskily hides the Islamic agenda's clear and present danger to American liberties and traditional values."

These are some very paranoid folks we’re dealing with.

But the decision by Lowes’, while I believe foolhearty, underlines my belief that they’re free to spend, or not spend their money, any way they choose.

But to demand not only an apology, but to suggest passing a resolution on the floor of the California legislature condemning the store chain?

“Capa freschia”….nothing better to think of, is there!

California has a bigger budgetary problem than we do, and this fool wants to make a name for himself by cowtowing to the PC crowd censuring what amounts to a business decision by the giant retailer.

In its defense, the retailer issued a statement apologizing for having "managed to make some people very unhappy."
Fact is, no matter what they decide, someone’s still gonna be pissed!

But for politicians to jump all over this goes to show you the extend of the vanity they have in trying to make a name for themselves.

What did Al Pacino, as the devil, say at the end of the movie, Devil’s Advocate?
