8 hurt in ‘severe’ crash outside Plainfield High School

Plainfield Police tell New Jersey 101.5 a "very severe accident" on Arlington Avenue near Plainfield High School injured several people.

ABC 7 reports eight people were injured with at least one person taken away by medical helicopter.

An overhead photo of the accident shows an overturned minivan with some debris scattered on the roadway, which is closed to traffic for cleanup and investigation. A photo  taken from the ground shows at least one other damaged car.
