This week's #BlueFriday honorees features about 3 heroic officers from the Englishtown Police Dept. Detective Corp. Alex DiNicola, Police Officer Kate Kwiecinski and Police Officer Kevin Romano were responding to a reported home invasion.

It turns out that they got to the house and the glass had been shattered but they came to the conclusion that it happened by mistake. Instead of just calling it a false alarm and leave, the officers stayed, cleaned up the glass, knocked out the rest of the broken shards from the window and then came back to the house with duct tape to ensure it was safe for the homeowners' kids.

These small gestures of kindness, the extra effort, is why we started #BlueFriday. These are the men and women who are first to respond in times of need. These are the true heroes in our society today.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office had posted this video online, on their Facebook page:

Thanks to Englishtown Police Dept. Detective Corp. Alex DiNicola, Police Officer Kate Kwiecinski and Police Officer Kevin Romano, as they are our #BlueFriday honorees for their actions.
