Is writing negative reviews online worth the hassle?

I do rely on review websites such as Yelp, but I have become pretty savvy at discerning what's real and what's just plain whining. I had a horrible experience at a restaurant over the holiday weekend that I want to tell you about.

Though my experience wasn't the greatest, I understood that it was an extreme circumstance and it simply wasn't worth the hassle. Have you ever written a negative review online? Let us know!
