Chubb Insurance Company may soon offer cyber-bullying insurance in New Jersey. It would not be offered as a stand alone policy, but would rather be an add-on to an existing homeowner’s policy.

However, it’s not intended to protect you from cyber-bullying, it protects you from having to pay damages as a result of a policyholder getting in trouble for being falsely accused of being a bully. It would even cover the cost of public relations efforts to repair a damaged reputation. So far, it is offered in Colorado, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana, but Chubb plans to introduce here in New Jersey soon.
