The Asbury Park Press reports that the woman gave birth around 6:25 a.m. Sunday in an ambulance that had just pulled in to the parking lot of Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. There were no complications, and mother and child were both doing fine on Monday.

Authorities say the woman and the child's father were headed to the hospital in their own vehicle but called for an ambulance when they realized they wouldn't make it in time.

The woman's name was not released, but authorities say the baby is her second child.
