LONG BEACH ISLAND — Visitors to this shore community got a nature reality show they weren't planning on Tuesday afternoon.

On the final day of her family vacationm Kristen Kelly caught an injured dolphin being eaten by sharks and seagulls. She said the dolphin was first injured when it was it by a propeller.

"I have never seen anything..." someone watching could be heard saying in the video Kelly posted to her Facebook page.

Spray Beach Chief of Operations Jon Harrison told the Asbury Park Press the dolphin's wound was 12 to 18 inches in diameter and lifeguards were keeping an eye on it prior to the attack.

"It was sad. You knew the dolphin was in distress. I thought at some point it might draw the attention of a shark," Harrison told the newspaper.
