What Sentence Would You Give Two Brick Residents for Allegedly Abusing Sammy? [POLL]

According to this article, two Brick residents were arraigned yesterday in municipal court, facing animal abuse charges for bringing Sammy, a malnourished Cocker Spaniel, to an animal hospital in Tinton Falls.

Keith Morgan and Shauna Ewing appeared in court in front of 250 Sammy supporters that showed up for the hearing. Sammy, the abused dog was brought to the shelter back in March, not only badly malnourished but also covered in urine and was unable to use his back legs because his fur was so badly matted.

Sammy is currently recovering with his shelter family and doing well. An online petition has been started to request the maximum sentence for Morgan and Ewing for the alleged abuse against Sammy. You can view and sign the online petition by clicking HERE.
