High temperatures yesterday reached as warm as 76 at the Atlantic City Airport.  Why?  They had some sunshine that managed to break through, while the rest of the state was only in the mid-60s to near 70 because of lots of clouds.

We should have lots of clouds around today, although there could be some breaks of sun, especially in southern counties where high temperatures will be in the lower 70s there.  It'll be 60s to near 70 elsewhere.  And just the chance of a shower today.

Mostly cloudy tonight with maybe just a brief shower chance.  Lows in the 50s, but lower 60s in southern coastal areas.

There will be leftover clouds tomorrow in the 60s.

It'll be cloudy to partly sunny with temperatures in the low 70s on Friday, but cooler again near the ocean.

Sandy is almost a hurricane.  It's about 160 miles south of Kingston, Jamaica, and this is early in the morning.

As we progress through the later stages of today, it'll be arriving in eastern Jamaica and Cuba and the Bahamas.

I think the track will be close enough to the eastern seaboard to cause a real concern for New Jersey on Sunday and Monday of next week.

We will keep you posted on this in the days ahead.
