You have to check out this video of Jetman Yves Rossy and his protege, Jetman Vince Reffet as they explore the limits of human flight over the city of Dubai.

Who knew Jetpacks have come so far. Obviously there's still room for improvements as this design requires the pilot to be lifted into the air to start their flight, and also requires the use of a parachute to land. Still, it's incredibly impressive to say the least.

The average speed they reach when going straight, is around 120 mph, but they can get up to 180 mph while descending. The next time your stuck in traffic on the turnpike just think, in the future you will be able to get out, strap on your jetpack and get to work on time.
