Truck Fire On NJ Turnpike

A truck fire on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound near Elizabeth is causing traffic delays likely to last the morning.

The car carrier fire in the Turnpike's outer lanes near exit 13A has lanes closed and traffic back up to 15 miles to at least exit 10  in New Brunswick  according to New Jersey Fast Traffic.

One observer said each individual car was catching fire as well as the truck.

Traffic is being diverted to the inner lanes.
