1969 - David Crosby and Stephen Stills appear on the Dick Cavett Show.  It is shot at Television Center in New York City. Also appearing on this episode is Joni Mitchell and Jefferson Airplane

1972David Bowie kicks off his 182-date Ziggy Stardust tour with a show at the Rainbow Theatre in England. It's the first of two nights and Bowie would eventually wind his way through the U.S. and Japan in the next year.

1988 - Elvis Presley's 'Hound Dog' is announced as one of the most played jukebox songs of the first hundred years of jukebox history. The earliest known models of jukebox devices date back to 1889.

1996James Brown appears in Montauk, New York, for a 'Back at the Ranch' concert. From 1990 through 1999, Deep Hollow Ranch was the site of several "Back at the Ranch" concerts to raise funds for local charities. Most of the events were produced with the help of singer–songwriter Paul Simon, who owns a home near the ranch.
