This weekend Jersey City brings the Golden Door International Film Festival to the Landmark Loew's Jersey Theatre of Journal Square.

Kicking off this past Thursday (10/10), The Golden Door International Film Festival brings filmmakers and film lovers together for an entire weekend of exclusive viewings at the historic Loew's Jersey Theatre of Journal Square and other locations throughout Jersey City.

The four day festival runs till Sunday and tickets are available for purchase by clicking here for any one of the locations in the city.

The Landmark Loew's Jersey Theatre was built in 1929 and was for many generations the place to view a film in Hudson County. As it was scheduled to be destroyed in the 1980's, volunteers banded together and brought back the historic landmark and is currently under construction.

Thanks to the Golden Door International Film Festival, this beautiful piece of architecture will continue to be used as the primary location for the festival and a variety of shows and productions throughout the year.
