Drivers in New Jersey may not have received vehicle registrations due to a software issue.

New Jersey Senator Kristin Corrado will introduce a bill that would require every state MVC facility to fully reopen according to pre-pandemic guidance.

The MVC has tweaked the computer system to try and let drivers know appointments are available online for almost all transactions.

The program, which was supposed to start January 1 but was delayed because of the pandemic, will allow those without legal status to get a legal document to be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Three other offices will be open by appointment only on Saturday. All offices are closed on Monday.

Spadea says, how this government still gets away with high approvals and a likely re-election in November is beyond comprehension.

Legislation is being introduced to let driver’s make online appointments for all services at all agencies and have expired documents extended until they get an appointment.

The action comes as agency locations continue to work through heavy demand built up during state-mandated closures, and are forced to close themselves on a case-by-case basis due to coronavirus cases among workers.
