A Bronx Tale

"A Bronx Tale" will be playing on June 26th and 27th at the Count Basie Theatre, and in honor of the event, I was lucky enough to have screenwriter and actor Chazz Palminteri call into my show.

Most Jersey guys will say this play describes their life, even though it takes place in the Bronx.  "A Bronx Tale” will be playing on June 26th and 27th at the Count Basie Theatre, starring Chazz Palminteri. Chazz will be calling in to my show tonight at 8:05.

Chazz Palminteri called into Ray and my show this afternoon, and talked all about the original of "A Bronx Tale," the classic movie that reminds so many of us of our own childhoods. (I call it "our generation's Godfather – I'll get to that in a second.)

Truth be told, I remember coming home one night late from work, and putting on the VHS of “Goodfellas.” I got depressed. And I remember my sister telling me, “wasn’t that great?” Yeah, it was great all right…but all too real...

If you’ve ever seen the movie “Bronx Tale” There’s a scene where a motorcycle gang crashes the local bar and after being asked nicely to leave several times, then the door is locked and “Sonny” played by Chaz Palminteri  uttered the line “now you can’t leave” a fight ensues and the bikers are eventually tossed out of their ear.

No angry words from the Governor over the reports of Death Race 2012? It’s likely he may have used it up for the war of words between himself and Senator Frank Lautenberg. But the normally outspoken Governor not too outspoken about the reports of Death Race 2012 down the Garden State Parkway...
