A southern New Jersey man who allegedly was driving drunk when he caused a three-vehicle accident that killed a young boy last year has been indicted on numerous charges, including aggravated manslaughter and vehicular homicide.

William Liepe of Hamilton Township also was charged with assault by auto and aggravated assault in the indictment handed up by an Atlantic County grand jury.

Nine-year-old Ryan Schleyer was killed in the April 10 crash in Hamilton, while two others were seriously injured.

Prosecutors say the 58-year-old Liepe rear-ended a vehicle Schleyer was riding in, sending it into oncoming traffic. It was then struck by a sport utility vehicle.

A phone number for Liepe could not be located Tuesday afternoon. And it was not known if he has retained a lawyer.
