What I remember the most is the calls that came into the station, the search for hope and direction, where to go, what to do, it was much more than I expected.

I was taken aback by the help that came in from Michigan, Mississippi, Illinois, Vermont and state after state, running into them throughout the Sandy affected areas here to help. It was a labor of love. It reminded me when I went down to the Gulf Coast for Katrina, there was New Jersey represented toe to toe, and here we were in our most difficult time and they were here to help us. A very cool experience.

I always knew the Jersey strength was big but to see it firsthand made me so proud to be New Jersey strong…one I will always remain proud of but one I never hope to experience again.
