The weather for last weekend's show couldn't have been any worse! The non-stop rain and flash flooding across the state made us have to postpone the competition to Monday, August 1st. Other than mother nature's setback, it ended up being a beautiful night for the show to go on!

This week consisted of eight great performances and I hope that every contestant continues to follow their passion, whether that be singing, dancing, or entertaining in general. Seeing how each contestant cheered each other on leaves me in awe. The audience had a tough decision to make because only two people could move onto semi-finals. Congratulations to Nicholas Blum and Kaleigh Brendle!

Lastly, I’d like to say thank you to our sponsors, who we wouldn’t be able to do the talent show without. Portrait Recording Studios, who is giving out a priceless grand prize of a recording package, which includes full audio recording and mixing for a single song, a recorded and edited video for that song, and much more! World Wide Piano of Edison, who is giving away an acoustic Hallet Davis & Co. 45″ studio piano. And BuyDig.com, who gets to spend every Sunday night with the Jersey Prize Team, giving out beach goodies and coupons for their website, which sells almost every electronic imaginable and offers free shipping!

The last two weeks of auditions for semi-finals are this Sunday, August 7th and next Sunday, August 14th starting at 7pm. Hopefully the weather cooperates with us and brings the summer to a close with gorgeous, sunny days. We hope to see you at Jenkinson's on a Sunday night before the summer ends!
