Readington Principal Threatened, Dance Canceled
A police officer was placed at Readington Middle School today after Principal Sharon Moffat received a threatening e-mail.

The threat was a result of the school's Dress Code policy, which bans strapless dresses at the eighth grade dinner dance in June.
Tonight's middle school dance has been canceled, but no decision has been made on the June event.
The school in Hunterdon County remained open for the day.
The school shared the e-mail with the local police department, who does not believe it to be a credible threat. According to a letter from Barbara Sargent, Superintendent of Schools, the threat appears to have been generated overseas.
