Prosecutors say a Bellmawr man sexually assaulted a boy he had met while serving as church youth
mentor.
But they say 23-year-old Samuel Bangs was no longer mentoring the youth when the alleged improper conduct occurred over the past two months.

Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk said Sunday that the illegal conduct occurred at various locations, including public parks. He said the boy, who was only described as being younger than 16, reported the conduct to authorities on Friday.

Bangs has been charged with sex assault, child endangerment and two counts of criminal sexual conduct. It was not known Sunday if Bangs had retained a lawyer, and a phone number for him could not be located.

Faulk said authorities are not aware of any other victims.
