Plastic bag debate – Bainy Suri discusses Princeton bag fee

Yesterday on the show, Dennis and Judi discussed the proposed plastic bag fee in Princeton. During the hour, the received a call which sparked a heated debate over whether people should be charged to use plastic bags.

Bainy Suri, is a Princeton resident who, with fellow resident Daniel Harris, have written an ordinance that would charge a 10 cent fee for any plastic bags.

Dennis and Judi are absolutely 100 percent against a fee for plastic bags. Neither one of them believe that plastic bags are such a problem that we need a fee to deter people from using them.

Bainy Suri called into the show to discuss the reasoning behind writing the ordinance. If you missed the heated debate, it is well worth the listen as Bainy went back and forth on the topic with Dennis and Judi.
