NJ Legal Battle Continues For Former “Melrose Place” Actress
The legal battle over a fatal crash involving a former "Melrose Place" actress is continuing in federal court.
Amy Locane-Bovenizer was convicted last November in state court of vehicular manslaughter and assault by auto in the 2010 crash that killed Helene Seeman.
A federal lawsuit filed against Locane-Bovenizer by Seeman's husband is now proceeding. This week Fred Seeman's attorney wrote a letter to the judge saying recent attempts at a settlement have stalled.
The suit has grown to include claims and counter-claims by a couple and a local theater that hosted separate parties the actress attended on the day of the crash, and a woman whose car the actress hit and who was following her before the crash.
Locane-Bovenizer appeared in 13 episodes of TV's "Melrose Place" and several movies.
