State treasury officials say revenues improved with the weather in November, inching closer to forecasts for the year by the Christie administration.

Treasury officials say revenue rose by 3.8 percent in last month, leaving the state only 1.9 percent under budget for the year, compared to 3.4 percent short in October.

In November, income tax collections were up 14 percent while sales tax collections were down 5 percent

The administration blamed Tropical Storm Irene and an October snowstorm for the lower tax collections in October.
