Multi-Alarm Fire Burns in Paterson
A 3-alarm fire is burning a row of businesses and residences in Paterson.
Helicopter shots by News 12 New Jersey show plumes of gray and black smoke rising from River Street that can be seen for miles.
The Record reports one of the buildings was a closed go-go bar and the D'Carbon restaurant. PSE+G was brought in following reports of a possible fire on a utility pole.
The flames are being whipped by high winds that blew embers around to start two other fires according to NBC New York.
The strong winds are being blamed for an earlier fire near Newark's Penn Station that temporarily closed several NJ Transit lines.
