Take a small group, driving tour throughout the NJ Pine Barrens to revisit the places made famous by author and journalist John McPhee is his seminal book "The Pine Barrens," which served as a catalyst for protection of this unique ecological area. The tour is led by Barbara Solem, author of The Forks: A Brief History of the Area, Ghost Towns and Other Quirky Places in the New Jersey Pine Barrens and Batsto Village: Jewel of the Pines.

The great hearth at Peachfield houses colonial era cooking utensils and implements necessary for building a fire. Andirons, dutch oven, billows, colonial toaster and egg cooker are just a few of the many hearth tools features at this event. Use of these items in Colonial times will be demonstrated. Demonstrations and tours will be held at noon and 2 pm. Reservations are recommended. Admission is free, good will donations are greatly appreciated.

The artists in Green from the Get Go take inspiration from nature and the history of basketry. The exhibition will feature more than 40 works by artists from Canada, Europe, Japan, Scandinavia and the US, featuring innovators in the genre of 20th-century art basketry as well as emerging talents. "Artists and craftspeople have always been highly attuned to the beauty and resources of the natural world, whether depicting a pristine landscape, untouched by man or harvesting plants and minerals for pigments and brushes," writes one of the exhibition curators, Jane Milosch, Office of the Under Secretary for History, Art and Culture, the Smithsonian. Tuesday - Saturday, 11 am - 5 pm. Sunday, Noon - 5 pm.

The Irish & Country & Bluegrass Music Show is an annual event showcasing a night of Irish, country & bluegrass music.
