With three New Jersey beaches recently being named among the most polite beaches in America, it got me thinking about beach etiquette.

The three beaches in New Jersey that made the list were Cove Beach in Cape May, which ranked as the No. 1 most polite beach at the Jersey Shore, along with Avalon and Ocean Grove Beach in Neptune, according to the Asbury Park Press.

We asked our listeners for the biggest complaints, and feeding the seagulls was a big one. Another popular answer was when beachgoers leave trash behind.

Some other things people said are extremely annoying at the beach include playing games like football, frisbee, or paddleball too close to others, constantly kicking up sand onto other people's towels, and taking up too much space with several tents.
