Assembly Republicans today are blasting the Democrat-controlled legislature for posting “hokey” bills and not tax saving legislation that matters to the people of New Jersey.

They’re criticizing Democrats for failing to address education reform, civil service reform and a bill that would eliminate end-of-career cash-outs to public employees for their unused sick and vacation time.

Assembly GOP Leader Alex DeCroce (pictured)  says, “Today, we return to the People’s House without addressing most of their (residents) main concerns and those of municipalities.” He added with a laugh, “We’ll vote today on urging the federal government to reduce the stinkbug population.”

Democratic Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver hopes to have the civil service and pay-out bills passed in this session. If not, she says they will be a priority in the new year. Oliver points out that Democrats are voting on jobs bills today, but Republicans claim the state can’t afford them
