
Getting Around Interstate 195
Interstate 195 westbound is down to one lane over the New Jersey Turnpike which is certain to cause delays for commuters heading to Trenton from Monmouth & Ocean counties.
There are several ways around the area to completely avoid the I-195/New Jersey Turnpike area.
From Freehold Area
Route 33 west goes to to the New Jersey Turnpike at exit 8 in East Windsor. Take the Turnpike south to exit 7A and Interstate 195. Or, continue west to Route 130 and go south to 195 and past the overpass.
From Ocean County:
Route 539 out of Whiting takes you to Route 528 in Plumstead. Take Route 537 west to Route 68 north near Fort Dix to Route 206 north and exit 7 of the Turnpike. 206 continues to Route 130 which easily takes you to Interstate 295.
