The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is the most traveled day of the year. Many times your luggage travels even further than you do. Delta has a plan to change that. The airline has added radio frequency identification to paper baggage tags. This will enable you to check a map in your app to see the last scanned location of your bags. When loading the luggage a light will flash green if everything is on track or red to alert you to any problems.

The RFID has been implemented at 84 airports in the United States last month and is expected to be rolled out internationally in the future. Now you and your bags can arrive together at the same place at the same time, or you'll know the reason why.
