On days when I anchor the midday newscasts, I look forward to 2:15 p.m. It's the time of day when the work calms down and I can actually eat lunch. On Monday afternoon, however, 2:15 was disappointing. A local market/deli messed up one of these easiest orders I've ever placed.

The order: honey smoked turkey on a wheat sub with lettuce - a roll with two items. Take a look at the picture to the left. Do you notice anything missing?

What happened with this deli worker at this very moment? First of all, she probably deals with dozens of sandwiches a day that feature several toppings and instructions. My order was most likely her easiest task of the day. Secondly, who wraps a sandwich with meat only and doesn't think twice about it? One would figure she'd think to herself, "This can't be right; let me go down the list of two items and make sure I covered everything."

I ate the sandwich - turkey on bread; it was even blander than the order I placed. Should I say anything, in hopes of getting a complimentary sub, or just let this live on as an odd, dumbfounding memory?
